Hurricane Katrina

Featured Replies

Even though it looks like Ft. Lauderdale may be spared a direct hit with Katrina, per the landfall happening alongside the Miami/Dade-Broward line, when was the last time Lauderdale was directly hit?

-92 mph winds at Port Everglades

-Man killed in parking lot of Stranahan High School when tree fell on his car

-Pedestrian killed in Planation when tree fell on him

-NBC 6 weatehr man seeing possible rotations (tornadoes?) on Doppler radar; I did not catch where

Power just did the flickering thing. I refuse to lose power!!!!!

We just had our first flicker, too. Hopefully, it means the power doesn't want to go out.

Make sure they look like Jesus. Or at least the Virgin Mary...

Looks like all the bad stuff is down in north Dade. Hopefully it stays there forever and doesn't swing back around to steal my power. If that bitch steals my power, I'm definatly going to have to choke a bitch, I just don't know how yet.

Party at the Elbo Room on A1A at Las Olas, until they run out of beer or the joint comes down, according to NBC 6's reporter at Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

My cable has been leaving at times, but it's back now. The lights just keep flickering on and off. Internet died for a couple of minutes too. :confused

Anyone in the target area still have internet??

I just moved up to Tally 4 days ago...just barely missed this one.

:lol

Channel 7 is down.

Yeah, me. :mischief

Okay, so we have a door to the attic in the ceiling in the garage, and it blew open. So now our garage is all windy with wind coming from the attic, its sorta freaky. We still have cable, which is shocking. Jeanne and Frances both stole our cable.

210,000 customers in Broward with no power, I'm not one of them and don't plan to be.

Now that I think of it, their North Bay Village location is in the midst of the strom's biggest fury, right?

Wow, that really sucks for them. They spend so much money to track the storm and have people out in the field with high tech equipment. Now they have no point in being out there. They also have all these experts and reporters working so they can compete with the other networks. Now all that effort leads to nothing because they lost power. That really sucks.

Total Pwnage. :lol
