Yea.. My school is cancelled for Thurs and Fri.. My college is more north than yours so I have a feeling its going to be closed

This thing is moving directly west now, right towards Broward. I don't think we've had a direct hit in the past 15 years.

well my dad just called the nbc 6 hotline and he asked about FAU... they said that they were wrong, after checking the FAU site, and after we hung up with them, the scroll on the bottom was changed to 4 pm on Thursday

If this is anything like Irene, power will be out for days, and flooding is a good possibility...But remember, Irene didn't even directly hit Broward/Miami, and this storm is moving very slowly.

Nope. We talked about that last year, and the teachers said it had to be like a week to even start thinking about making the days up. And plus, our administrators said Seniors dont have to make them up, so ha.

Any news on whether UM cancelled classes? I'm just a little concerned for my brother, who's just starting his freshman year there.
