September 3, 200520 yr If Bobby Cox were coaching this team then Lowell would have been on the bench a long time ago. 924842 You mean kind of how he still keeps Dan Kolb in the Bull Pen when he is the worst releiving pitcher in the NL?
September 3, 200520 yr Lets see.... 1. Pierre 2. Castillo 3. Cabrera 4. Delgado 5. Encarnacion 6. Gonzalez/Lo Duca 7. Gonzalez/Hermida 8. Treanor 9. Pitcher :o 924490 Smart, now can you tell me who is going to play 3rd if we have to catchers in the line up?

He's taken his closer and "benched" him. :plain
September 3, 200520 yr I'm sticking with my blind allegience to a .200 hitter with no power. It's just plain stupid to try to improve the only part of the team that has consistently failed the entire season; we don't need offense. No one does. Let's not expect players to do their jobs and face consequences if they don't. Hey, if it was me out there, I'd LOVE to get 8 million dollars a year to not do what I get paid to do. I think for now on, when I go to work, I'll just bring my sleeping bag with me, nap for 8 hours, then pick up my paycheck at the end of the day. Hell, we should all Lowell it at work, then see whether we can still feed ourselves!!! v. lowell, lowell?ing, lowells v. tr. 1. To be careless or remiss in performance: To lowell one's job. 2. To grouse or complain under anonymity: After the game, he lowelled to the media. 3. To be ineffective or feeble: I'm sorry you didn't enjoy intercourse honey, my penis seems to be lowelling. That's the best post I've read since the OMGNu?ez post. Bravo!
September 3, 200520 yr Hey lowell got a big rbi tonight 927397 yea, the fact that we had someone on 3rd with less than 2 outs saved him from going 0 for 4, instead he is 0 for 3 with 2 K's. 927403 I was trying to find the bright side ? :thumbdown

He seems to be the one most upset by his performance. 927656 By definition "anonymity" makes it rather difficult to provide proof, but it's pretty well accepted that a good deal of the "unnamed sources" in the past have been Lowell. I've also had it quasi-confirmed that he does this secondhand from someone who knows one of the players. Perhaps I should change the first definition to: 1. To retain one's vocation despite marked demonstration of ineptitude: Though wrecking the economy, spreading thin military resources, and ignoring all domestic affairs, the President will lowell his position for a second term.
September 4, 200520 yr I have to give Lowell credit for trying hard and working at his problems. It just hasnt alleviated anything and its sad. Were running out of time and should do anything possible to just get to the playoffs.
September 4, 200520 yr Mikey did pretty good tonight.. Single, Got robbed of a single, walk, worked the count :notworthy Great Job Mikey!

September 4, 200520 yr He also fooked up on that ball that he airmailed to first, cutting off Gonzalez from a much easier play. And I'll say it again. Lowell cannot hit a "soft" .230. Singles are not steps in the right direction. I mean, seriously, when was the last time he got an extra-base hit?

It was still a bad throw, though.

Kolb isnt the closer anymore.
