Hollyberry
I am not sure if we had one of these threads before but I am curious where people would put Hermida in the lineup if he starts Friday night against the Mutts. I know we shouldnt expect Hermida to be wonderful from the start but that Grand Slam was AWESOME!! Hopefully he can keep it up
rferry
2B Castillo LF/RF Hermida 3B/LF Cabrera 1B Delgado RF/CF Encarnacion LF Conine / CF Pierre / 3B Lowell C LoDuca SS Gonzalez

Hustles
Pierre Castillo Cabrera Delgado Gonzo Hermida Aguila Treanor Willis and no, I didn't mistype, for being burried at the bottom of the batting order for so many years I think Gonzo is ready to do damage at the 5 spot and I'm also tired of Enc's lazy fielding. so there you go Holly, I kinda went beyond just sticking hermida somewhere
prinmemito
1. Pierre - CF 2. Castillo - 2B 3. Cabrera - 3B 4. Delgado - 1B 5. Encarnacion - RF 6. Lo Duca - C 7. Hermida - LF 8. Gonzalez - SS OR 1. Pierre 2. Hermida 3. Cabrera 4. Delgado 5. Encarnacion 6. Lo Duca 7. Castillo 8. Gonzalez If Castillo were a little faster, I would bat him leadoff. I think he's a much better leadoff man than JP because he gets on base so much more. Too bad he's had so many surgeries that have slowed him down. prinmemito
I think Lo Duca is back tomorrow. No more Treanor.
Hollyberry
1. Pierre 2. Hermida 3. Cabrera 4. Delgado 5. Encarnacion 6. Lo Duca 7. Castillo 8. Gonzalez I like that lineup.. :thumbup Luis always is paitent at the plate and it would be nice to have someone at the bottom of the order who can work the count and put the bat on the ball. wanks1212
Ideally I'd say: 2B Castillo RF Hermida 3B Cabrera 1B Delgado CF Encarnacion LF Conine C Lo Duca SS Gonzalez However, if Hermida starts (which I doubt he will), I'd expect something more like this: CF Pierre 2B Castillo 3B Cabrera 1B Delgado RF Encarnacion C Lo Duca LF Hermida SS Gonzalez If Lo Duca still isn't back, put Treanor in the 8 hole and bump Hermida and Gonzalez up a slot. Malman
Hermida needs to bat second...ideally JP will be on base and the right side of the infield will be wide open. With his patience at the plate and sweet left-handed batting Hermida is a natural in the 2 spot. CF - Pierre LF - Hermida 3B - Cabs 1B - Delgado RF - Encarnacion C - LoDuca 2B - Luis SS - Gonzo :thumbup
buccanes
I dont think McKeon will bat Hermida 2nd.. I'll go with this lineup, and I think Dukie is ready to play CF- Pierre 2B- Luis 3B- Miggy 1B- Carlos RF- Enc C- LoDuca LF- Hermida SS- Gonzo P- Willis
Hollyberry
I think Jack will bat Hermida 6th or 7th and see what he can do.. if he produces and walks alot then he should move him to 2nd in the lineup :thumbup
TSwift25
Here's what I'd do if it's Zambrano (if it's Glavine, I'd let Lowell start at third). 1-Pierre, CF 2-Castillo, 2B 3-Delgado, 1B 4-Cabrera, 3B 5-Hermida, RF 6-LoDuca, C 7-Conine, LF 8-Gonzalez, SS 9-Willis, P Encarnacion just needs a day off, so with the off-day and then Friday, he'll be ready to go full for the rest of the week. Back to back off days may be just what Juan needs, then he's back in right and Hermida switches to left, and Juan bats 6th.
prinmemito
I wouldn't put Hermida 5th. Sure, he did great last night, but in all honesty you gotta go with proven guys for the 5th spot.

Sure, he did great last night, but in all honesty you gotta go with proven guys for the 5th spot. 925365 Hermida's a patient hitter, and statistically, the only hitter to lead off more innings that the 5-hole hitter is the leadoff man. Hermida is best suited for the 2-hole, but Luis is there, and I wouldn't move him. Plus doing my suggestion goes L-R-L, making those late inning bullpen moves so interesting. :shifty

WildMarlinMan2003
Hermida will eventually be a #2 hitter- probably next year. Id like him to hit 5th or 6th right now though.

Miggy's our best hitter. 925409 yea...I still like my line-ups with the L-R-L config for the 3-4-5 guys... I remember a while back when C.Del was struggling, McKeon moved him to the third hole, and had Cabrera hitting cleanup. IMO I'd like to see Hermida hitting in front if Cabs & Delgy...provide him some protection, and giving him the chance to drive something I don't think pitchers want to face Miggy or Delgy

rferry
show me a lineup with both Hammer and Hermida *dies* 925492 Face it. Willingham has lost his chance because that stupid Valdez. LoDuca is now healthy, Hermida up and Jack's setting the lineup he won't budge from down the stretch. Willingham will have to wait until next spring to get another shot.
