I'm not going to give up on the team, but this game was most likely the backbreaker for us, there's no denying that.

There's maybe a 5% this will be a wakeup call for the team and they'll start playing better. That's probably not gonna happen. No one out there except Dontrelle actually wants to win.

three games back in the loss column, not enough time. It hurts to say, this was the implosion that ended the season, imo.

I don't see how a team can possibly bounce back from this. This is crushing.

Admin there is no other team I love more, Its just that simple, but the amount of underachieving this season along with "WHAT THE f*** ARE YOU DOING!" type moves by McKeon just make me feel like they cant hack it in the regular season. even though i honestly believe that if and when they DO make the playoffs that they have to be a favorite, and thats even with there s*** middle relief, I will watch every god damn game from here on out just like i have been doing all year and all of there existence. and I will still be cheering for them, but i have to say i think they just played(and coached) themselves out of the playoffs.

Well, it's time for the final stretch of the NL Wild Card, or as I have deemed it, "Football Season"

I can't believe in this team anymore until they show me something. If they win out, then maybe.

We've lost 4 brutal games in a row and 3 of the last 4 games have been complete blowouts. We've been outscored 37-8 in our last 4 games, this is inexcusable during crunch time this late in the season, if the 2005 Florida Marlins are a playoff team, they had me fooled.

 

I'm not saying we're 100% out of it, but we're on life support and fading quickly...

This is one of those games that starts a string of losing 10 out of 12.

I believe in winning. I believe if we win 10-11 of our last 14, we'll win the WC. I believe we're capable of that. I just don't believe we're going to do it.

Very true.

A lot of the people who are quitting now are the ones who quit in June or July whenever it was. Not shocking

We are at most 2.5 games out after today but go ahead and quit on the team if you want.

It?s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn?t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened?

 

But in the end, it?s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn?t. They kept going because they were holding on to something.

We can still win this season, but they sure haven't shown me they are worthy of my faith. Miggy plays well because, well, he's just damn good and will play well regardless. Same with Carlos, but he really showed he wanted to make the postseason. D-Train... what can you say about him. Josh stepped up when needed at the end of the year... he's dependable. AJ is a bitch. Lowell and JP suck. Villone has blown more than Jenna Jameson. Jack has no brains. If they can salvage the game tomorrow and start a 10 game win streak, well then I will believe in them.

Technically we're still in it, and I'm gonna continue rooting for them, but this was the turning point today- they ain't gonna make it.

With 13 games left and they way we've been playing, that's a lot. We're in a four game losing streak during the stretch run for the playoffs in September. That's sorry. I think they can do it... I just don't think they will.

According to science, it's still possible for the Marlins to make the playoffs. However, it is also possible for all the mass in Dolphin's Stadium to suddenly be sucked into a minature black hole located inside Mike Lowell's nose.
