September 18, 200520 yr Lovely Rita meter maid. Lovely Rita meter maid. Lovely Rita meter maid. Nothing can come between us, When it gets dark I tow your heart away. Standing by a parking meter, When I caught a glipmse of Rita, Filling in a ticket in her little white book. In a cap she looked much older, And the bag across her shoulder Made her look like a military man. Lovely Rita meter maid, May I inquire discreetly, When you are free, To take some tea with me. Took her out and tried to win her, Had a laugh and over dinner, Told her I would really like to see her again, Got the bill and Rita paid it Took her home and nearly made it Sitting ona sofa with a sister or two. Oh, lovely Rita meter maid, Where would I be without you. Give us a wink and make me think of you.
September 18, 200520 yr With the 11 AM advisory, the track has been shifted ever so slightly northward and the center may actually be a little north of where it was calculated to be. Because of this, the Keys are now under a Hurricane Watch.
September 18, 200520 yr Hurricane Watch??? Its only a Tropical Depression right now. I doubt the NHC will give a Hurricane Watch this early.
September 18, 200520 yr I doubt the NHC will give a Hurricane Watch this early. 951839 ...It is in fact a hurricane watch Monroe County Schools cancelled Mon.
September 18, 200520 yr Hurricanes usually start out as tropical depressions, they base watches and warnings on what it will be when it gets to where its going. I dont post info like that unless its official.
September 18, 200520 yr crazy... sorry for doubting you Ross. any word on Dade/Broward? 951914 As of now, there is no immediate threat to Miami or Broward, as the system is supposed to pass through the extreme south keys. If it veers to the north, I would expect the superintedents of their respective counties to make a statement.
September 18, 200520 yr Any word on dade schools? they usally give us the day before the storm off to prepare.

September 18, 200520 yr I would hardly say that Florida is under the gun as our resident proclaimed weather guru says. if anyone is under the gun, its Texas. and this topic will not be that active regardless once it passes Florida. /das predictions of the day

If it forms toward the middle of the system, it will likely remain on course.
September 18, 200520 yr and its still a glancing blow to florida if anything. 952003 Probably, but after seeing Ophelia, I think anything is possible. However, this system seems to have a more predictable track (if that's even possible).
September 18, 200520 yr Miami-Dade and Broward are now under a TROPICAL STORM WATCH. More to come with the 5PM advisory.
September 18, 200520 yr honestly, id say this isnt going to effect us at all... maybe a breeze.. im guess school is on tomorrow
