When asked about the stadium at the OB he said it's "mostly dead but somewhat alive".

 

He also said he's proud that 5 games over 500 is underachieving for the Marlins considering how long it's been since some teams even sniffed 500.

Yeah, I read the same thing regarding the Delgado comments. Instead of saying we're looking forward to a good season from Carlos next year he brought up no trade clauses and Loria losing money. He really opened the door for the team to trade Delgado in the off-season. :banghead

When asked about having the stadium double as a hurricane shelter, as suggested by Weston Mayor Eric Hersch, he said that if all local politicians showed the same support as Hersch, then likely the stadium deal would already be complete. He also said they would consider all proposals. So I suppose they are still considering the deal.

A response of "everyone's available" simply says, at least to me, 'yeah, we're thinking about trading him.' A "no comment" leaves a whole lot more open to interpretation.

I wouldn't mind a new regime who will actually put money towards a stadium and not demand a free one.

This current regime of ownership has shown they can think outside the box. Im sure if they traded Carlos that it would be in the best interest of the team on the field. Also, like he said Loria IS losing tons of money. Its not fair that he lose that money. Hopefully he will come to his senses and sell the team to a person with DEEP pockets.
