August 17, 200322 yr 26,104? If we make it to the World Series people could start coming to see the Marlins and not just D-Train. Of course, if we can get 26,000 every 5th day, that's an improvement. Fans--Support your Fish!
August 17, 200322 yr When we're playing in Sept for more than just pride I think we'll see a surge. Granted, I believe there will be a bigger surge for Dwilly the rest of the year no matter what, but still a good size surge.
August 17, 200322 yr FYI....there were more than the announced 26k....that's just paid attendance....count in the comps that were given that were about 7k.....
August 17, 200322 yr Author FYI....there were more than the announced 26k....that's just paid attendance....count in the comps that were given that were about 7k..... i knew it looked like a packed house 30,000+ there and 26,000 paid is ok with me :thumbup
August 17, 200322 yr You know, those pics are so professional looking. Get a job with a local Newpaper,......thingy. *brain cramp.* My compliments. PS. I am very surprised that we are getting such a great audience turnout. But mostly, its just because we have been winning, and are close to First place for the wildcard. No one likes a losing team.
August 17, 200322 yr i agree ramp.....26k paid is super nice..... the comps went out to the media, family and friends of marlins employees, sponsors, and other VIPs. Halobubbles- the pics are taken by a pro...not ramp. Didn't Admin buy a ticket for this game?
August 17, 200322 yr Author You know, those pics are so professional looking. um. they are professional looking because a professional took them c/o of the ap
August 17, 200322 yr There's Quality pics at sportsline.com/mlb.....Yea our attendance is rising! We better keep it up!
August 17, 200322 yr FYI....there were more than the announced 26k....that's just paid attendance....count in the comps that were given that were about 7k..... we dont get any money off the nonpaying ticketholders. Marlins only make money on ticket sales. Parking and concessions go to Huizenga. So, maybe we made money off the 7k for parking.
August 17, 200322 yr Attendance seems to still be good, despite the fact that we are now in the NFL Preseason. Getting about 30,000 to the ballpark is going to help. Hopefully that bad per-game average should start getting better soon.
August 17, 200322 yr we dont get any money off the nonpaying ticketholders. Marlins only make money on ticket sales. Parking and concessions go to Huizenga. So, maybe we made money off the 7k for parking. and we don't get any money either from club level seats either.....regardless...those 7k comps can be future customers...they enjoyed the game...they'll come back on their own.
August 17, 200322 yr and we don't get any money either from club level seats either.....regardless...those 7k comps can be future customers...they enjoyed the game...they'll come back on their own. its a beautiful fair lease isnt it
August 17, 200322 yr a healthy 26,104 good job South Fla, keep improving!!!! And then of course Sunday rolls around and there couldn't have been 15,000 there today. I was at the game and the lower infield seats were barren. Man was it hot though! I was about to put Bump down with a tranquilizer gun just to get him out of there so we could get out of that heat.
August 17, 200322 yr just lovely...stupid bald ummm homosexual so calling him a homosexual and bald is an insult?!! :angry just getting in tune with the PC feel thats been on this board lately. you forgot flaming Corner i thought about going to the game today, but i saw the heat outside when i was picking up my dogs "waste" and i said forget it, ill watch it with a nice frosty soda in my airconditioned room
August 17, 200322 yr I love Wayne from my Dolphins perspective. Hate him from my Marlins point of view. Such a love/hate with me and Wayne...
August 17, 200322 yr he takes care of the Dolphins, but i really cant stand him. i have booed him the times ive seen him on the field during Dolphin games. i can never forgive him for what he did, i dont care who he owns. and of course, i also dont like the idea he took Joe Robbies name off the stadium. i know everyone else does the same for profit but still i dont care
August 17, 200322 yr i know everyone else does the same for profit but still i dont care Actually, he was the first to have that done. Pro Player was the first stadium to ever have the naming rights bought by a company. :banghead
