November 4, 200520 yr I want to go somewhere where I [can] win. I want to go somewhere where the fans want to win as much as I want to win and the club wants to win as much as I want to win. And they've showed me that so far." LOL!! :lol Aj wants to win and he could sign with the Jays??? Give me a break, that why Carlos left you dumbass! Oh yea btw AJ The Jays are in the AL East, they got a reaaaal good shot at winning there! And The Marlins finished just 3 games better then the Blue Jays (who was also in third place in their division) who were in a division with two playoff teams. But good point...
November 4, 200520 yr *yawn* He certainly can talk the talk but can he walk the walk? :mischief Hint: No.
November 4, 200520 yr I wonder if Burnett will ever break into true ace territory. High 90s fastball + curve that makes me cry tears of joy every time I see it= 49-50 record??? He's 28 now, so there's still time, but not too much.
November 4, 200520 yr I wonder if Burnett will ever break into true ace territory. I love AJ, I've defended AJ, but I just don't see it happening. If all he had to play for down the stretch was his own pay-day, and he couldn't do it, you have to question his mental make-up...that's the biggest part of being an ace, your head...in many ways, it's more important than the kind of stuff you have.
November 4, 200520 yr Whether or not he ever becomes a good pitcher, he'll always be an a**hole. So, at least he's got that going for him. Of course, if he never becomes a good pitcher, he'll be both an a**hole and a complete waste of potential.
November 4, 200520 yr me too :boo-woo I like trash talking players with big attitudes and fingers up their behinds
November 4, 200520 yr He hardly trash talked. What he said at the end of the season was trash talking. This is just a comparison
November 4, 200520 yr AJ got his chance this year to show us what he had learned. The results? Down the stretch, when it counted, when the Marlins could have taken the wild card, he CHOKED. No other way to describe it. He had his chance and blew it. "Oh, I can't pitch or be comfortable without my former pitching coach around." All he had to do AFTER the choke, to get his 50g's bonus was to keep his mouth shut. He knew he was gone. He knew Jack was gone. There was nothing to gain by opening his big fat pie hole and whining. There was however money to be lost. What did he do? He took the immature route and ran his yap. Great stuff? You bet, some of the best stuff in the majors. But a 10 cent brain with great stuff will get you a 49-50 record after all this time. And then burning the Marlins and their fans after he leaves, not the sign of a real professional. Go luck AJ, I hope you grow up some day. You can't be 18 forever.

November 5, 200520 yr maybe he'll go to detroit and him and pudge can complain together and wish they were still here :thumbup
November 5, 200520 yr AJ didn't say anything too negative, either way he's on another team in another league, I don't think we should care too much what he says.
November 6, 200520 yr He's already my least favourite player in Major League Baseball. He might as well top it all off by playing for the Canadians.
November 8, 200520 yr I am not a fan of the guy anymore, but damn he could bring the heat and yank the chain on those rare good nights. I'll bet he is successful wherever he ends up.
