CapeFish
I am gone for a month from these boards, and all negative-posting hell breaks loose. Well guess what Debbie Downers, you've mowed down hopes long enough. We are just entering the Hot Stove Season and all you guys do is cry about yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Run out of tears yet? Let's us look at the other teams in our division shall we? 1) Atlanta Braves.....they must lose sometime, maybe never...who knows. 2) Philadelphia Phillies....worries me the most...what about you? 3) Washington Nationals....get an owner and then call me. 4) New York Mets....Meet the Mets, step right up and greet your Mets The Marlins need a bullpen. Not anymore defense, offense, or starting pitching....they need a good trio in that bullpen. If we come out with 2 good new bullpen guys from this offseason I will be happy. When does Lo Duca report to Jupiter again?

FutureGM
The Phillies just fired their awful GM and replaced him with a good one. So they might actually get better. The Braves will most likely get worse, now that their magical pitching coach who can make Jaret Wright worth $25 million has left for Baltimore. I'm not worried about the Mets, after all, they ARE the Mets.

ultimopain
I think we need to worry about our own team first before we start worrying about the other teams......
CyggyMarlin
I'd rather win 9 to 7 each night with a high powered offense and great starting pitching, and if the bullpen makes a 9 to 2 lead interesting each night, fine. Score early, score often, starting pitching shuts down the other team, and somehow the ragtag bullpen records 6+ outs a night, I can live with it... rferry
We have one of the better young cores in the league. We're going to stay competitive. Loria wouldn't allow the team not to be anyway.

So, where's this mythical nine run a night offense? Does it have the Golden Fleece?
Accord
Gray skies are gonna clear up, Put on a happy face; Brush off the clouds and cheer up, Put on a happy face. Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy, It's not your style; You'll look so good that you'll be glad Ya' decide to smile! Pick out a pleasant outlook, Stick out that noble chin; Wipe off that "full of doubt" look, Slap on a happy grin! And spread sunshine all over the place, Just put on a happy face! Put on a happy face Put on a happy face And if you're feeling cross and bitterish Don't sit and whine Think of banana split and licorice And you'll feel fine I knew a girl so glooming She'd never laugh or sing She wouldn't listen to me Now she's a mean old thing So spread sunshine all over the place Just put on a happy face So, put on a happy face
