Obviously Hermida's the most obvious choice but Olsen and Petit are possibilities to have good seasons

Hermida will be the best, and possibly win ROY, but Mike Jacobs is a plain out stud and will be the best new Marlin...

of the Marlins prospects, the ones I see being really good major leaguers are Jacobs, Hermida, and Ramirez...the rest will be mediocre at best (and before you flame me, keep in mind that three rookies developing into star players is pretty damn good, most teams are lucky to have one)

I can easily see Jacobs and Hermida both finishing in the top 3 in ROTY voting (no way both of them finish ahead of Matt Cain )...I see Ramirez developing a little later

I don't know. Some of them are girls. Like Miggy's wife just birthed a daughter.

 

Maybe there will be another revolution in baseball and women will play.

Josh Willingham is as much of a rookie as Jason Vargas. It doesn't matter as he isn't going to be a starter anyway.

I think one or two of the baby Marlins will be very impressive. I'm thinking Hermida and Jacobs. One of the pitchers will have an impact year - Petit or Olsen (if he has the strength to pitch more than 140 innings).

 

I think we'll have about 4-5 rookies starting (Jacobs, Hermida, Willy, and one or two starting pitchers), but we'll still have 3-4 prospects in the top 100 at the end of the year. I am not sure Hanley Ramirez is ready yet... we should take a wait and see approach. We know Jacobs, Hermida, and Willy can handle it. Olsen and Petit might be able to handle it... maybe one of those two will become the next Dontrelle.
