I am not ready to throw the towel yet, but I agree that this is rather depressing. However, this is a much better team than the one we have seen for the last 8 games. The Phillies are also losing, which might be a sign from the gods of baseball We have 30 games left and we need to win most of the series to have a good shot at the WC, but we are playing our own division. The next time we meet the Pirates we will sweep them. Positive thinking people. Let's try to win 9 or more games in a row!!! :marlins

August 29, 200323 yr Author That is all. Losing to the Pirates, especially after trading away Brian Giles which came after gutting just about every decent player from that team is riduclious. If we lose any of the rest of the games of this series...... We are not going to the playoffs. season over. we had a great run. this is pathetic. hopefully we can build on the good things of this season and carry that over into next year. playoff teams do not roll over and go 1-8 on road trips in late august. especially to the teams they rolled over to.
