Samson to be on Le Batard's show at 6:05

Andre: Why don't you open the books?

Samson: We don't have to.

Again, he's right about it. It's a private company, therefore it doesn't have to open up it's books. This is how it works in the business world.

Yes, but Samson's argument contradicted that point. Comparing a sports-franchise to a dry-cleaning business is simply not correct. The Marlins operate as a professional monopoly in their area.

Of course, he doesn't have to. The question is why won't they...why won't they just show us how much money they're losing.

MLB won't let them, for one. It's standard policy for them to keep the books closed to the public.

In my view, it would be bad business. When you open up the books you allow people to see all kinds of things that you might want to keep private (how much they pay for certain things, who they owe money to, etc.).

yeah, they're available if you give up like five major league players and pay for them all...

Samson, when asked if he can guarantee Dontrelle Willis will be here next year: "No..... what if the Yankees say we'll give you five players and pay for them? You know?."

He also said he expects them to be here.

I was just pointing out that his response was awfully similar to a post on this website.

Noah. You god-damned moron. YOU TEACH OUR CHILDREN?

"Can Dontrelle Willis visit my classroom?"

The sad thing is that Samson doesn't even know they made him look like an idiot. You can tell he's clueless in general.
