Teal Shadow
should he? could he? and will they? its a thought... Boston thought he could handle the move this season to CF if they didn't move Edgar....its just a question
The_Punisher
NO WAY!!! out of the question my friend. We will mold him at his natural postion, that is a move for ateam that has a luxury such as Edgar Renteria, we don't have that luxury, if we make that move who will play shortstop, Lenny Harris, Wes Helms, buck??? No wayyyy
MarlinGuru
No, good shortstops are a rare commodity.
Fishfan79
waste of his defensive skills honestly
ultimopain
And I doubt his arm would be strong enough.
The_Punisher
I think that's a rap, we hit it on the nose, Hanley will play SS.
Accord
If Hanley had mediocre defense, then yeah go ahead and move him, but he is an absolute defensive stud at SS and he's going to be a perrenial gold glover.
wanks1212
If Andino had torn s*** up in his brief stint last year and his AFL season, then I could have seen Hanley in CF. However, with Andino's semi-recent play, he doesn't seem to be nearly as viable an option at SS in the near future (I know Pokey/Amezaga could hold down SS for the beginning of the year, but I'm thinking longer term). Partially because of Andino's struggles (and partially because Hanley's a better prospect overall), HanRam needs to be penciled in as the SS of the future for the time being and not mess around in CF. Deal with finding a CF of the future elsewhere.
TSwift25
Get the f*** out of here with that crap. Who the hell plays short-stop then? It's foolish to create a hole at a premium defensive postion when it's being filled with a plus-defender like Hanley.
Hugg
If anyone should be moving to CF, it's Andino. Although I don't think he has the bat to justify it anyway.
babaru
No, good shortstops are a rare commodity. So are good centerfielders.
Shamrock
If anyone should be moving to CF, it's Andino. Although I don't think he has the bat to justify it anyway. he's barely got the bat to justify being a bench player, much less the attitude. Andino is a utility player at best right now Hanley is our starting SS...Reed will be our starting CF
