April 15, 200620 yr That batting order switharoo gets the Chewbacca seal of approval. Willingham has a batting average around twice that of Jacobs and is much more reliable to drive in runners, or at least to not strike out.
April 15, 200620 yr Author well, they didnt listen to us today.... The lineups are out already? not to the public :mischief

April 15, 200620 yr I want to see Josh Willingham hitting ahead of Cabrera, with Jacobs coming up in the fifth spot, Willy or HAMMER can see much more good pitches to hit, and if he gets on base Cabrera is a sure bet to get the man home.
April 16, 200620 yr after a decent start he's 1 for his last 16. it is good to see him take some walks though. but no question Hammer needs to bat 4th.
April 16, 200620 yr When Hermida comes back where do you think he will bat? Ramley Hermida Miggy Willy Jacobs Uggla Aguila Treanor/Olivo ?
April 16, 200620 yr Author I would actually like to see Uggz stay in the 2 hole and move Hermida to 6 or even 7... add some punch to the back of the lineup(and take some pressure of Jeremy)
April 16, 200620 yr I would actually like to see Uggz stay in the 2 hole and move Hermida to 6 or even 7... add some punch to the back of the lineup(and take some pressure of Jeremy) :mischief2 Maybe Ramley Uggla Miggy Hammer Jacobs Hermida Aguila Treanor/Olivo ?
April 16, 200620 yr Lest anyone forget that Willingham is an infielder and has played 1B before. I think the eventual solution is to bring Hammer back in the infield at 1B especially against left handed pitching.
April 16, 200620 yr I'd like to see Hermida moved into the leadoff spot and HanRam moved down to #2 i dont know if youve been paying attention to the marlins lately... but uh.... no.
April 16, 200620 yr ^ how do u figure that rferry? :mischief2 Because Hermida is a promising young talent that needs support that he otherwise would not receive in the bottom of the order. If that is to go with the Marlins winning now, Hermida still serves a useful role laying out the pitchers repertoire that is a requirement from the leadoff spot. If Hermida gets on base, Ramirez' doubles put the Marlins up 1-0 before Cabs steps to the plate
April 16, 200620 yr Jacobs has 270 points of Isolated Power and his OBP is way higher than his BA. The hits will come. Are we somehow worried that Jacobs in the 4 hole will cost us a playoff berth?
April 16, 200620 yr Willingham needs to be in the cleanup spot no doubt. He is the one producing right now and Jacobs is not driving in runs and thats what a cleanup hitter needs to do. Imagine that combo of Cabs and Willy back to back.
April 16, 200620 yr Jacobs has 270 points of Isolated Power and his OBP is way higher than his BA. The hits will come. I agree. Watching him hit, his timing is just slightly off. He could be in for a torrid week, starting it off today with a 2-4 day complete with an RBI. Also mark Reggie in that ready to bust out category. He absolutely stung two balls today that Byred decided he was going to have great range on, and also looped one that just came a foot short of going over the second baseman's head. The hits will start falling in the next couple of days me thinks.
