If Herges got them 1-2-3 he would be the best closer blah blah. It just didnt work out. Sometime we might forget Joe is a rookie too. He is still learning about how to use the bench/pen etc:.

April 17, 200620 yr Why Messenger though? Why not Resop or someone like Sanchez? Messenger is just more of the same for what we have now except he isn't old. Isn't there a rule that prohibits a player that was just sent down from being recalled within a ten day frame? I could have swore Resop was in a similar situation last season.

If there is an injury you can recall that player back before the ten day period though.
April 17, 200620 yr It happens. That's why we need one of these starters to go deep in games once in a while to rest the bullpen. This is the crap you get in this fire sale. Other arms will be blown.
