May 2, 200620 yr Maybe we should have hired Gonzalez, the third base coach for the Braves. He's been watching Bobby Cox manage for years now. I doubt he would have managed as badly as Girardi has this season. Just to set the record straight, I am doing this for Hispanically related reasons. :plain You really need to grow up. You keep asking for it.

Picking a guy like Gonzalez who was successful in the minors could be viewed as a more prudent choice. And then Girardi chose to surround himself with rookie coaches instead of finding a few guys (and particularly a bench coach) who could lend some good advice as he learned the ropes. He's struggling, the team is struggling and it isn't going to end any time soon. Brace yourselves.
May 2, 200620 yr Is there any real solution though? We are kind of stuck with him. Loria wouldn't fire him. He's going to be here at least a year or two. Maybe he will learn from his mistakes. Obviously he hasn't yet, but we'll see a month down the line.
May 2, 200620 yr man, if we arn't playing for this season, why leave him in to throw 120 pitches? I'm not jumping on any bandwagon yet, but I definitely don't like this move.
May 2, 200620 yr Let's hire Lenny to manage, he's got some time off right now :lol We should just hire an infinite amount of monkeys. They can handle the job just fine. (As I say this Girardi used the whole bench in one at bat)

TSwift accuses me of making statements for Hispanically related reasons... I was teasing him.

And where oh where is Fredi Gonzalez???

May 2, 200620 yr And where oh where is Fredi Gonzalez??? Getting a secret phone call from Loria hopefully? I blame this on the midget.
May 2, 200620 yr anyone else think that Jack is grinning to himself? Nah Jack got a ring and he wouldn't have hung around for rebuilding, nor would he have been ideal for the job, but Tampa sure is smiling big time watch Girardi blow game after game.
May 2, 200620 yr yeah, i've been giving him the benefit of the doubt so far but this use of dontrelle just blows my mind. completely inexcusable. Maybe he wants to be fired ? You tell me the look on his face most of the time doesn't say "WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE ?" :confused

Was an awesome manager in the minors....MOY multiple times I think.
