Maybe he has turned a corner

Reggie is really finding his own. His OF defense is quite good as well.

Who still wishes we traded for Gathright?

I do.

Reggie is a close 3rd as my favorite on the club behind Dontrelle and Hanley, but Gathright is awesome.

Being able to run real fast does not an awesome player make. Eric Reed has some wheels too, and he sucks. Abercrombie is [alot]better defensively IMO, and will put up some nice power #'s. He has steadily improved since the first pitch he's seen this season. The only thing Gathrights been able to do this season is take walks, and it seems like the thought process of making contact-bat on ball has completely escaped him. They are close to the same age. Gathright wont improve this team anymore in the long run than Abercrombie will. And Gathright isn't playing anywhere near good enough to trade the kind of prospect the greedy Devil Rays will want in return.

Who do you think the D-Rays would prefer in their line-up Gathright .205 avg with his .333 ob 23 runs

or Abercrombie batting .250 with 3 homers...Abercrombie does more for your linep than Gathright...Kool Aid is showing better batting discipline right now so his OBP is on the up and up...best thing is that ABS can drive in runs

Gathright being awesome doesn't necesarilly have to do with his on the field production. He could hit .100 and be awesome as far as I'm concerned. The question asked was who wished we had traded for Gathright, and I do.

Touche.

I wasnt really applying to you so much as deconstructing your seugway off the word awesome.

Reggie Abercrombie is feeling comfortable at the plate. He is taking walks now. He is not overswinging. i don't believe this a hot streak...He ios working the count and appears confident at the plate. I expect a .275-.280 average at the end of the season
