Maybe he has turned a corner

Reggie is really finding his own. His OF defense is quite good as well.

Who still wishes we traded for Gathright?

Bam

3-4, 3 singles, 2 SB

.252 BA (.348 in May)

Meanwhile Joe Borchard is playing like....Joe Borchard. I think this guy needs to keep getting ABs.

Kool Aid might get me voting for him to the All-Star game if he keeps this up!... He is hitting .251! Guys We really do have a centerfielder now. I know many made him a punchingbag, Maybe we just need to face the truth...Kool Aid has arrived !

BTW Koolaid got himself a Webgem...Made it on BBTN

Since we love to blame the manager or coach when someone doesn't do well or things go against us, I say hats off to Jim Presley for Reggie and Uggla.

It hasn't happened by accident.

If only we could say the same thing about Kranitz...

his obp is .061 higher than his average. Thats pretty good.

No it isn't. The average is about .070 higher. Good would be higher than average.

You guys are ready to annoint a man whos only real quality is that he looks like he should be able to play ball and ready to dump a guy because he is in a slump.

Reggie has been hot for about 10 games and has pulled his OPS to .711. Jacobs has struggled and still maintains a more productive bat than Abercrombie.

Trade for a CF, today.

Man don't rain on Kool Aid's parade now...Kool Aid is getting the bat around on the ball... not only that but he is also being more selective taking the occassional walk something he always had problems

No one's saying Reggie is the second coming. I'm just happy to see improvement.

Why do we need to trade for a CF today? That's going to push us into a playoff chase? There's no rush to fill holes, we have plenty of time while we find out which pitchers we want to keep.

As far as I'm concerned, I think that we can call off our search for a centerfielder. Check out Reggie's numbers over the last ten games. More specifically check out his batting average. It should continue to climb after his first inning dinger today. He's hitting .371 over his last ten games, .333 in the month of May, and .301 over the last 30 days. I think he's getting some of the kinks worked out in CF, too. He had a great throw home last night to nail Brian Jordan. He's got the speed to cover CF and steal a few bases, he can hit for power, and now he's showing he can hit for average. I think we should instead focus on finding some bullpen help. Our hitters have put up 180 runs over 38 games, which averages out to 4.74 runs per game. I think it would be interesting to see what our record would be if we had a bullpen that DIDN'T blow a lead every time we handed them the ball.

I do.

Reggie is a close 3rd as my favorite on the club behind Dontrelle and Hanley, but Gathright is awesome.

Gathright is hitting .204 right now He does have 23 runs ...just because the D-Rays have an awesome line-up ...His OBP is .333 . Everywhere else Kool Aid has got him beat

If Gathright were a Marlin he would have like 12-15 run scored at best. If Gathright were a Marlin we would still be talking about getting another CF
