So you dont think his confidence is crushed if he cant get AAA hitters out.... he is still learning, let him learn how to get AAAA players out instead of him getting shelled like Kensing did...cause that sure helped him out ..... you dont find a Dontrelle Willis everyday you know. Totally agree... But I mean why not give him a shot.. Kensing didnt have near the Talent that Petit has.. Im not saying bring him up now but it is a MUST before the end of this season.. Perhaps after the all star break

Perhaps after the all star break i'll agree to that, but deffinitly not now, Petit had alot of control issues during spring training...and uummm, we have 5 starters currently who are having control issues, maybe once he irons that out in AAA maybe give him a call up.

I think we should send Olsen down so he can get his act together. a bit premature, no?

May 10, 200620 yr Just bring anyone and get Moe the heck out. SEriously, how many bad starts does it take to dump his ass in the Atlantic? Vargas has some bad outings, and he gets sent to the bullpen. But Moe gets shelled every single game and he is back the next time. I don't get it, i get they are just trying to get the most BANG for the bucks they paid him.

Yes, but when your last four losses have come thanks to the 4th and 5th innings, it's likely to continue happening on a regular basis. If we move Nolasco to the rotation and we push back the other team's explosion to the 7th and 8th innings that's a victory in and of itself.

May 10, 200620 yr put moe to the pen where he can work on his stuff and perhaps better his ERA. If he can put it together in the pen perhaps we can move him mid season for some prospects

He can take Nolasco's role in the pen. I'm all for sending Moehler to the pen for long relief and mop up and giving Nolasco a chance at starting. Who knows, maybe Moehler will start performing well for the rest of the season once he goes out to the pen and be able to stick around in the bigs for a few more years.

I see absolutely no reason in keeping someone like Petit in AAA, you're basically setting him up to fail. Even if you say that the rotation in AA is filled up, he's among the better pitching prospects on the farm and can't be thrown into a league where every park has the gravitational pull of the moon.
May 12, 200620 yr Moe needs to be tried in the bullpen as a long-man. If he does just as bad he's got to be DFA'd to AAA for someone else worthy of some innings.
