June 1, 200620 yr Tank = Lefty specialist? Tank = Closer of future? Asked over in the other one too because I am really not sure what role are they looking at for him and all.

Asked over in the other one too because I am really not sure what role are they looking at for him and all. he'll probably start off as a lefty specialist, but I could see him becoming our closer later in the year, beginning of next year. Good to see Tank get the call, but he deserves it (straight up dominant this year)

June 1, 200620 yr guys there is no way it will be german. petit will go down so he can start at AAA and it maks absolutly no sense to send down german who pitched well and has overpowering stuff after they just sent him on 4 rehab starts and worked on a slider with him. they might as well have designated him a long time ago!!!

Trust me it is German that is being DFA'd.....i agree it doesn't make sense but they want to keep Petit around as long relief since they moved Kensing to set-up duty

We should have 2 week goals. Maybe in two weeks our goal should be 13/14 games under. Next 2 weeks maybe 9/10. We need to make goals like that. I know getting to .500 will be hard but if they make goals like this it doesnt seem that impossible. Anyone agree with me?

I doubt Girardi will ever change his stated goal of winning the World Series. He said that before the season when a number of key players were expected to do worse than they are now (Uggla, Ramirez, Abercrombie and others), so I doubt he'll lower his expectations.
June 2, 200620 yr Not so fast. Thursday his name was on the 25 man roster and off the Mudcats roster. Today is totally different. I'm pulling for Tank.
