guys check out his stats at single A as a starter, THERE AMAZING!!!! and he just got called up to Double A and has one start there that was solid as well. we could have another great pitcher on our hands very soon.

Jose Garcia: Individual Stats (Pitching)

Team From To W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR BB SO Hammerheads 1.87 12 11 1 0 0 77.0 60 31 16 3 16 69

Carolina Mudcats 0.00 1 1 0 0 0 6.0 5 1 0 0 3 4

he'll get a look in spring training. he's obviously not ready for MLB just being promoted to AA, this year. his stats look pretty good, if he keeps it up he could be on the team next year. september call-up?

He really made great leaps last year as a player.

hopefully we don't rush him into the bigs.

we have plenty of other talented young pitchers, make sure this guy gets his time in the minors.

He is one of those we got from Boston right?

I dont think...I am pretty sure the garcia we got from Boston was Harvey, a reliever.

no, we didn't get him from boston, that was harvey garcia and jesus delgado

he's been very good this year but i doubt he'll truly be mlb ready before mid 2007 at the earliest

Already at Carolina in mid-June, I think he'll be ready by Spring Training if he keeps this up. Possibly even a late September call-up (assuming we don't make a dramatic push at the end)

I admit the latter part is a stretch, considering the Fish are so stingy with money.

He will be a September call up because he is already on the 40-man roster.

Oohh nevermind he is already on the 40, so I guess that wouldn't be a factor.

Ya just looked it up, but thanks for the reminder Ralph.

Round 2 tonight for the kid.

i think he's going to need time in aaa, though if he's a stud in carolina maybe not

thing is he had trouble adjusting to high a initially last year before dominating this year, and i'm kind of expecting the same thing to happen with him in aa, but i'm willing to be surprised

still with all the pitching the organization has there's no need to rush him - 21 in aa is damn good

Not sure if anyone noticed, but Garcia had his 2nd quality start in as many tries for his new level. Somewhere around 6IP, 5H, 1ER, 1BB, 6K, HR
