June 12, 200620 yr Probables for the rest of the games in June: Atl: Johnson/Willis/Nolasco Tor: Olsen/Moehler/Johnson Bal: Willis/Nolasco/Olsen NYY: Moehler/Johnson/Willis Bos: Nolasco Nothing against Moe or anything but I would love to have JJ, Willis and Noly pitch in New York. How about the Yanks? I would look for it myself but I don't know their rotation or where to find it. I think it will be Wang/Johnson/Mussina, but Im not positive. The Yankee's dont have a normal rotation. They pitch Johnson and Mussina every 5th day and almost with Wang. Im not sure with Chacon because he just got back today. If there is an off day before or after Wright that would effect one of Johnson or Mussina's starts they skip him. So it's kind of hard to predict who they will have. I wanna go to this game so bad Ima go buy some tickets GO MARLINS
June 12, 200620 yr Moehler vs Chacon Johnson vs Wang :plain D-Train vs Big Unit I'm sorry Holly, but you of all people who complains about dirty old men and your mind is as dirty as theirs is.
June 12, 200620 yr Here is 2006 MLB opening roster pay-roll comparison. 1. NYY 194,663,079 .... 30. FLA 14,998,500 If we defeat Yankees, it's amazing. And, Yanks'll never forget about it. lol
June 12, 200620 yr Our road record has improved to 14-20.....I can think of a number of past Marlins teams that could have really used a 6-3 Western trip...... 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005 teams.
June 12, 200620 yr so what was the turning point? was it getting swept by Tampa in walkoff fashion? Was it Hermida returning to the lineup? Or was it Mike Jacobs with the GW hit in the bottom of the 9th against the Cubs? It's been pitching. pitching. pitching! JJ, Nolasco and Olsen have pitched so well! Now We really have a bullpen that can get hitters out. In fact our bullpen is nasty!
June 12, 200620 yr The Saturday Yanks/Fish game is Old Timers Day, so it's pretty much already sold out, but I'm trying to go either Friday night or Sunday. As much as I love the Yanks, it's going to be hard not to cheer for the Baby Fish (I'll probably put my Marlins visor on my belt or something to show a little support). I actually bought mlb.tv this year just to watch them again (such an easy, likeable team to root for). I wish I was still in South Florida (went to college there) as it was always so easy to go the games. I'd love to go the Sox/Fish game down in Florida though. That will be an interesting series with Beckett and Hanley and all (and I hope you sweep 'em -- although I know there are a bunch of Sox fans on here who will probably get mad at me -- and they probably want the Fish to sweep the Yanks!)
June 12, 200620 yr Author Just for note, the rest of the June schedule looks like this: 3 games vs Atlanta 3 games vs Toronto 3 games @ Baltimore 3 games @ NYY 3 games vs Tampa Bay 1 game against Boston Yea it loks pretty tough but we are gifted with facing the yanks while they are down and the braves while their BP is down and out. Baltimore I think we have a possible chance but that Toronot offence my rip us. I think we can handle TB now that the pen is getting confident and Boston is going to be tough no matter what
