MARLINS vs Rays 7:05pm 6/28/06

Featured Replies

May 18 must seem like ages ago to Scott Olsen right now. In that start, the rookie left-hander allowed eight runs over 4 2/3 innings in a 9-1 loss to the Braves.

That loss was also the last time Olsen tasted defeat. Since then, Olsen has gone 4-0 with a 5.41 ERA. His ERA has also dropped with each start following his shelling against the Braves.

Olsen will attempt to pickup another victory, his seventh, when he takes the mound against the Devil Rays, and will look to complete a Marlins' series sweep, their fifth of the season.

Olsen will be facing off against Rays starter Casey Fossum, who allowed six runs over 5 2/3 innings in his last start against Detroit.

Following Wednesday's game against the Rays, the Marlins will have an off-day on Thursday, then host a three-game set against the Red Sox beginning on Friday night.

Pitching matchup

FLA: LHP Scott Olsen (6-3, 4.60 ERA)

Olsen had one of the best starts of his short career in his last appearance against Baltimore, but he received a no decision for his 7 1/3 innings of work.

TB: LHP Casey Fossum (2-3, 5.25 ERA)

Fossum picked up a no-decision in his last start for his six-inning outing against the Braves.

Player to watch

Carl Crawford needs just five steals to become just the eighth player to nab 200 bases before the age of 25.

0-2 so far. The Marlins never win when I go to games.

Sweep Revenge please :)

I like that, I might use it for a sign.

It's raining by my house. :confused

It appears this game will be on TV, hopefully I get to see it.
