July 26, 200619 yr PHILADELPHIA ? (AP) ? The New York Yankees acquired catcher Sal Fasano from the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday for minor league second baseman Hector Made. Fasano had been designated for assignment by the Phillies on July 22. He hit .243 with four home runs and 10 RBIs in 50 games. The 21-year-old Made was hitting .286 with three home runs and 28 RBIs in 86 games for Class A Tampa of the Florida State League. The Phillies have assigned him to Class A Clearwater.

July 26, 200619 yr Sal's pals That would be them, fake 'staches and all. As I recall from a game against the Marlins earlier this season, Sal's Pals would chant "You got 'stached!" whenever he made a good play or got a hit. I'm guessing that chant will not be heard in Yankee Stadium.

July 29, 200619 yr Anyone else notice the eerie resemblance? They even have the same build... Could have been worse..he could have been sent to the Marlins. As for Made, I've yet to see him play, but no doubt I'll see him if I hit more Threshers games. He can basically keep his apartment in tampa, but the traffic across the Courtney Campbell can be a pain during rush hour.
