With trade rumors, wild card and pennant races heating up not much has been made about Chase Utley's 27 game hitting streak (Started June 23rd). He is absolutely killing it right now.

 

In the 27 games:

7 HR (37 % of season total)

23 RBI (36% of season total)

 

In 17 of the games he has at least 2 hits.

 

He has raise his on base percentage 28 points from .360 to .388.

 

He has raised his batting average 34 points in those games from .289 to .323.

 

He has raised his slugging percentage 58 points from .495 to .553.

 

I'd like to see him keep this going for a while.

i don't mind him keeping it up for a couple of more games, but I don't want him to break Luis' streak of 35. The more people that pass it the less prominent Luis' streak is.

He can get hits the next 5 games I guess as long as they don't lead to runs.

:lol I agree. I'd like to see him break the streak during this series. It'd be difficult for him to get athlete's foot in the shower, because they wear showers shoes if I remember correctly.
