July 29, 200619 yr Most.Inconsistent.Lineup.Ever. you should have seen some of the lineups the sawx had under grady little...bellhorn was the wildcard...he would hit everywhere...it was really quite funny actually...but as for the marlins...yeah...willy should hit lower in the lineup until he can get out of this slump...at least maybe he can do something against a lefty in an extreme pitchers park

Facing a lefty just makes it convenient to rest Jake because doing so against a righty would be silly. He absolutely demolishes righties.

I know, I couldn't figure out why either. Girardi's not dumb he knows Hermida a much better hitter, he has some reason for it. The best I could come up with is maybe he wants to space out the better hitters over the middle/bottom of the lineup.
