Starting pitching needs to step up again

Featured Replies

Starting with the philadelphia series, the starting pitching has been atrocious. They need to get their act together if we are to make a run at .500 baseball.

it all starts tomorrow with DTrain

we could use a lights out performance out of him

Mets have been the anti-Phillies for him in the past

Dontrelle really needs to step up tonight. He is starting to be one of the most inconsistant Marlins starters this year. Even the rookies are more consistant.

Our starting pitching has not been a problem at all. Every team and every pitcher has bad games and bad stretches. What are your expectations for the pitchers? Never allowing more than 3 runs in less than 7 innings? We are what a top 5 team in total era (i think).

These rants are ridiculous. A hitter going 10 for 50 is a normal part of a baseball season. A pitcher getting rocked a couple of times throughout 30+ starts is the norm. This is why they are called batting and earned run AVERAGES.

And if Dontrelle doesn't throw a complete game shutout he sucks and we should trade him immediately.
