August 27, 200620 yr How are the comparisons bogus? Look up like four posts. Now stop trolling and stfu already. Learn to accept it when someone disagrees with you. Ok Edwin is not a good player. He is just decent. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Let's just stop the Edwin/Miguel comparisons please. We can look at a constant stat and solve the dilemma: Edwin OPS--.933 Cabrera OPS--1.016 And Miguel's average is almost 40 points higher. Again, that is not what we are talking about here. I said their "power" numbers would be VERY SIMILAR if Edwin had played in all the games Cabrera had. I never said Edwin was better then Cabs, but to say Edwin is a "decent" player and will never be at that level is insane. Take a look at Cabrera's 1st full season stats (2004) and compare them to Edwin's. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...&statType=1 Ok, whats your point? You started the bogus comparisions.....Edwin plays in a bandbox....good for him and Dunn. Who's next? Dunn is better than Bonds? Actually you started the bogus comparaisions. See: the 1st post in this thread.

Who knows....but the Reds have too many holes and everyone will watch their starters collapse down the stretch.

He is just decent. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Edwin has not proven anything in the majors yet. He has some potential, and might some day be a good player. However, to compare him to Cabrera is crazy. Edwin can't hold Miggy's jock strap, and that's a fact!!! Cabrera has hall of fame potential if he stays healthy. Edwin could some day be a good player. He's not even in the top three of National League third baseman. Miggy, Wright, and Zimmerman are the top three, and then you still have Rolen and Chipper Jones, and Aramis Ramirez still ahead of him. That's just off of the top of my head... Please wait until Edwin does something worthy before putting him in this class.

Miguel doesn't hit for power though. He'd just as much rather, by his own volition, take a ball and drive in the run with a ground ball or flyball then try to yank one out.
