what these young guns have done

Featured Replies

wat an acomplishment for the young kids we are 2 games under five hundred and if we finish over .500 it will be the 4th time in a row. these marlins have proved baseball writes wrong and made them look embarrased know if the marlins win the wild card it will be the most succsessful team im the mlb it doesnt matter wat the tigers have done the last time the fish had a fire sale they finished with 100+ losses now it turned around. your thoughts on this

Saddly when we win the WC every baseball writer is going to be saying "Oh how bad the NL was this year, it's so bad the Marlins won the wildcard." and the usual disrespect we get from other cities around the nation. But screw it, this is our time to shine. Alll I do watch the games and read the boards, don't care one bit what anyone outside of MB.com has to say about the Marlins weather good or bad.

I'm going to enjoy this ride until it's over and it doesn't look like it's gonna end anytime soon.

Who cares what people say about this team! Does anybody remember that on May 22nd this team was twenty games, 2 - 0, below .500. Today, the Marlins are 2 games below and find themselves 2.5 out of the wild card. Nobody can deny that this season has been a success despite the ongoing efforts of Jeff Loria to do everything in his power to drive the fanbase away with his salary purge and ongoing fued with Joe Girardi.

If the Marlins do win the wild card, it will be one of the most improbable seasons ever in Major League Baseball history! A team that was thought to lose 120 games coming out of nowhere with a $15 Million dollar payroll to stun the baseball world and go up against possibly the best team in all of baseball in the first round of the playoffs? That's Hollywood material right there... :mischief

Just amazing. Just amazing. Who cares what everyone says about this team and their fans. All of us absolutely love this team. People are going to get hooked. Maybe they should sell next years season tickets now :mischief .

If this team went all the way I have no clue to what I would do. Probably just bust out crying.

Well well well..... when I purchased my tickets to go see the Fish play 3 games in Miller Park this weekend I never imagined we would be in a playoff race. I am so excited about going to see them this weekend I hope they keep the streak going. It would be sweet to see them win games 12,13 & 14 in a row while I am in Milwaukee!!

Do you remember this thread?

That's from last December: I admit I was too optimistic but just a few of us could imagine what Joe and those wonderful guys are doing!

Are we now contenders?

I think we can make a try for the postseason but if we fail we have to admit the Marlins are the big surprise of the season.

What do you think?

Sadly when we win the WC every baseball writer is going to be saying "Oh how bad the NL was this year, it's so bad the Marlins won the wildcard."

The answer to that is they went .500 vs. the AL in inter-league play.
