Special appearance: As Randolph was concluding his pregame press conference, Marlins third baseman Miguel Cabrera dropped by in his street clothes, interrupting with a surprise visit.

 

"We're going to win today," Cabrera said.

 

Randolph arched his neck to identify the source of the deep baritone voice, then chuckled.

 

"It won't matter," Randolph said, "but that's all right. I like his confidence."

It seems the hatred out of New York is not just stemming to the Duaner Sanchez incident earlier in the year but also the fact they feel Cabs lost the ASG for the NL and lost home field advantage for the Mets when they dont make the WS.

I dont have a problem with them hating miggy. Let them. most mets fans (not all mets bs not including you dude) but most mets fans most years can be seen at yankee stadium rooting for the yankees after their own seasons normally end.

 

Besides this just builds rivalry and all anyways between the clubs which is good for both franchises.

I agree wright is a pretty boy. (here comes another story) I remember meeting him at the mets hotel (i'm not a stalker) and he was wearing this pink polo shirt, which according to mets fans is famous. It was really neat meeting with him, and he's got a great personality and sense of humor. I see why mets fans enjoy watching him play and are absoleutly obsessed with him. Some fans may overrate him, but that's just because they enjoy watching a star player, good for them. We have star players that we can ooh and aah about too.

 

Mets fans aren't subhuman, they're just really passionate baseball fans. I see nothing wrong about that, and the better for them. Maybe your just jealous (as I am) that we don't have the amount of fans or interest in the team as they do.
