December 3, 200619 yr Crist said - He used to work for MLB He likes baseball as an economic engine He is open to considering state funding for a new Marlins stadium He said losing team(s) can be very hurtful to the state's image He wants to work toward "balanced equities" (did not define what he meant) Putney mentioned that the state's funding share could be as much as $100-120MM for a downtown Miami development, and Crist didn't even blink. He was very positive, but keep in mind that he has basically tried to be "all things to all people". The rubber will meet the road when he is actually asked to support a proposal with specifics.
