December 8, 200618 yr Bonds has re-sign with the SF Giants for 1 yr/ $16 mill mlb.com... I see it "agreed in principle" so it isnt done yet, but its close
December 8, 200618 yr Well, I just hope he stays healthy the entire season. If he plays the way he played the second half of last year, it'll be a very interesting season.
December 8, 200618 yr Time to focus on pitching now... we just gotta sign the other Barry Yes... Yes... Yes... Yes... Do it Sabean !!!!
December 9, 200618 yr thats some ridiculous money, he is nothing more than a name and a guy that draws walks now, obviously the giants won't ever get rid of that cancer until he gets the record :thumbdown

Not that he was near his 35+ homeruns, but 26 isn't bad for a 42 year old. I agree that $16mil is a bit much, but if he stays healthy and can play the way he played the last couple months of last season, he'll have a great season.
December 10, 200618 yr I find it hilarious that every sports writer in America is tripping over themselves to contend that no one wanted Bonds including the Giants, despite reports otherwise. It really shows how these writers have it out for Bonds.
December 10, 200618 yr With all the deals this offseason, I'm surprised Bonds is getting a salary that low.
December 10, 200618 yr I hope teams decide to pitch to him now. He's not going to hit everything out of the park.
December 10, 200618 yr Bonds could definately get more.. 11 for Meche... not to mention with a .200 average and 20hrs he would bring in far more than 16 M for the Giants. He is the star of the team, they come to see Barry.
December 11, 200618 yr I hope teams decide to pitch to him now. He's not going to hit everything out of the park. He'll get the record which unless there's some miracle on the Bay, is all Bonds and the Giants will be playing for this year.
December 12, 200618 yr What a waste signing for the Giants. They need to get a clue and start rebuilding, maybe even deal for the Braves Marcus Giles, they are the wrost franchise in baseball, i swear.
