Posted October 11, 200321 yr YANKEES-RED SOX BRAWL! Clemens throws at Ramirez' head, he goes after Clemens... In the mix, Pedro Martinez throws DON ZIMMER DOWN... 72-years-old... That's sickning.
October 11, 200321 yr Author It looks like Zimmer swung at Martinez (go Don!) and Pedro just kinda pushed him away.
October 11, 200321 yr It wasn't even close to Ramirez....Manny is a total bonehead..... Don Zimmer did come swinging at Pedro but he should have just moved out of the way.
October 11, 200321 yr Author It wasn't even close to Ramirez....Manny is a total bonehead..... Gotta love the intensity, though...
October 11, 200321 yr Manny and Pedro should have been ejected. There's no way that someone (whose already been warned) thrown down a 72 year old and get away with it. Manny was just searching for something to start...
October 11, 200321 yr Author it wasnt a true brawl but for todays era that was a decent scuffle... I started the topic in the heat of the moment. Sorry I didn't name the topic "Decent Scuffle!" :lol
October 12, 200321 yr Pedro had to defend himself. Zimmerman came rushing to him and almost made contact with his face....pedro had no choice but to push him out of the way

October 12, 200321 yr Author Pedro had to defend himself. Zimmerman came rushing to him and almost made contact with his face....pedro had no choice but to push him out of the way the guy is seventyf***ingtwo years old That's like Clement throwing McKeon onto the ground.
October 12, 200321 yr Author like that could happen If I told you that Pedro Martinez would throw Don Zimmerman on the ground after Don tried to throw a punch at him, you would have said the same exact thing.
October 12, 200321 yr damn i need to see these highlights, it'll make me feel much better. i read a couple of Yankees might be facing charges
October 12, 200321 yr this is one of the many reasons Pedro shouldnt beat up Zimmer 1. if he kicks zimmers a** (like he did) he'll forever be known as the scumbag who beat up the old defenseless man in the 2003 ALCS. 2. If zimmer puts up a Decent fight and ruffs pedro up just a LITTLE bit. Pedro will have to leave the FRIGGIN town because he'll be forever known as the lame-o who got beat up by a 72 year old man. :whistle
October 12, 200321 yr these highlights are so f***ing cool, Zimmer actually went at Pedro. Pedro threatnening Posada with a fastball to the head, this s*** is so f***ing cool, makes me feel better
October 12, 200321 yr Pedro should've been ejected after threatening to hit the guy in the head the next time he's up to bat. But Clemens was clearly gunning for Manny in retaliation, so Manny was totally justified in calling him out on the mound. Oh, and Zimmer totally rushed at Pedro swinging. It wasn't a throwdown at all, he was just trying to push the old man out of the way. Zimmer is the biggest freaking hothead, and to tell you the truth, I'm glad he got what was coming to him. Pedro's move was in self defense, so he shouldn't have been ejected for that move.
October 13, 200321 yr how was Clemens going at Manny? he threw a high fastball over the plate, not near his head
October 13, 200321 yr Zimmer charged Pedro. Did Zimmer think that he could just run up there and swing at Pedro? I would have done the same thing Pedro did. And all Pedro did was throw him to the side. Zimmer fell down. Pedro just stepped back. He didnt try kicking him. He didnt yell at him. He didnt swing at him. It was a self-defense reaction. Hell, I would have done the same thing whether it was a 72 year old lardass, or an 8 year old kid. You just need to use some common sense when charging the mound. If you charge the mound, you have to be expecting something. And whats this with Bloomberg saying Pedro should have been arrested. So when was throwing someone down in self-defense considered battery? Douchebag. Go, play in traffic Bloomberg. A good a**-kicking never hurt no one (well, I guess it hurts the kickee, but thats what they get).
October 13, 200321 yr Is it true that Don Zimmer is Butterbean's uncle??? One of the announcers said it after the "fight". It might be true cause they sorta look alike lol :confused
