The more benefiting option would be Julio, since he's looked like the weak link in our 'Pen. But like it was mentioned before, it's going to be one of the young guns.

I'd chose Lindstrom. Though the only person deserving to be demoted is Julio. He lost to the frickin Washington Nationals.

Please send Julio down he needs alot more practice in AAA maybe he can find some confidence and control down there so basicly what Im asking for is a miracle.

It would take big brass balls by Beinfest (try saying that 10 times fast) to send Julio down and admitting his mistake, but it is quite obviously the correct move at this time.

He's a 32-year old journeyman who hasn't had a history of anything significant in the majors. He was a non-roster invitee, and what happened to the "spring training stats don't mean anything" mantra? Something tells me most teams have a guy like him in AAA.

Exactly. But it is good to have that kind of depth. Either way, I'm not impressed with Pinto. Lefty or not.

Good point. But lefties are so hard to come by, he would get claimed- if we really wanted to get rid of him, we could trade him and at least get something.

I do wonder who would be interested in Julio if we waived him. My understanding is we can always pull back that waiver if he's claimed but as far-fethced as it sounds it might be worth a shot to see would pony up$3 million for him.

 

What I am unclear on is what his rights are here and if his permission may needed to be granted. I could see a scenario where he reports to Jupiter (as a concilliatory gesture so his wife doesn't have to pack again for Albquerque) while he tries to repair his mechanical problems.

 

Off the top of my head. I may reread it tomorrow and think it's a terrible idea.
