April 12, 200719 yr Def Owens with tank getting some shots if its utley and Howard in the 9th, even though Lindstrom throws 100 mph he hasn't so far been able to get it past anyone.

April 12, 200719 yr Owens. Tank needs to get back into the mix though. I would be willing to give Lindstrom a shot down the line, but right now, those line-drive fly-outs he gets scare me, since he can't pitch all his games in a football stadium. I just don't think he is as ready to close as is Owens. I'd be willing to try Gardner too, but I'm thinking I'd rather give him the role of bailing out the rest of the staff when we get too many on base for comfort.

He is one of the rarity that can throw 100+, but MLB hitters can't smash it if they know it's coming.

A few games ago (I forget which exact one) he finished the inning with a strike out and walked off the mound with his head raised high like he couldn't be f***ed with. Really caught my eye.
April 12, 200719 yr yep...good thing is a lot of relief types develop in their late 20s and he has even more hope because he missed a lot of baseball time when he was on the missions trip. everyone is mad at Beinfest for the Julio/Petit deal, but his Vargas/Bostick for Owens/Lindstrom deal could turn out to be brilliant very, very soon.
