August 23, 200719 yr is a florida marlins win. you would think that wouldnt be too much to ask. :confused but no my marlins have found more ways to crush my spirit in one week then they have ever! and is fredi doing anything to rally the guys? no! i saw on marlins.com that after last nights game he had a clubhouse talk....a talk?!?!?!?!?! what he needs is a tirade which he says is not his style. well then take a page from crash davis from bull durham. they are kids....scare them...you want them to play better than scare them!!! not "talk" I love my team but I think this should be the official fire fredi thread. yes its his first year but hes looking exactly like sam perlazzo..and being from MD i know exactly what thats like and that didnt work too well for the orioles either. also has anyone noticed how it seems like the players are the only ones that get upset? everytime i watch a highlight or read a post game report it just seems like our manager doesnt care. and whats with olsen not being able to get the ball down? isnt that supposed to be on our pitching coach to spot mechanical flaws so this doesnt happen? :banghead what we need is perry hall back and a manager with the never lose attitude of joe girardi. or joe himself although that would require an admittance of wrong doing from our owner which i dont think will ever happen. sorry had to get that off my chest. hopefully we can turn it around and get some wins and not be the team that loses 100 games in the east. most of it probably didnt make sense but this has been building and i figure since everyone else has a rant that it would be ok to post one more.

August 23, 200719 yr I'm by no means a Fredi Gonzalez fan but this is hardly his fault. From what I can tell, the major contributors for most of the losses are starting pitching and defense. If you want to blame any one individual (ridiculous) it should be Kranitz. No way in hell Loria cans Gonzalez so save your breath. It isn't Krantiz's or Gonzalez's fault that 3/5 of the rotation from last year has made like 10 total starts this season. That is the main reason that this season has been such a struggle. I'm not a fan of all of the move's Fredi has made either, but fire him after one season? Come on. I'd at least want to give him a chance to work with a complete rotation for a whole season before deciding he is the problem. Afterall, he is the guy many baseball "experts" agreed was the next guy in line to get a head job, not to mention the guy everyone on this board wanted after Girardi was let go. Besides, do people really still believe that the manager has a major impact on winning and losing? The players haven't been good enough. That is the bottom line. Placing the blame on the manager is just the easy excuse for fans. Lou Pinella was a savior until he had a crappy Tampa Bay team. The manager is only as good as his team. Unfortunately this Marlins team isn't very good right now.
