Man cuts down Mexican flag flying over US Flag

Featured Replies

I think he did the right thing. That's just dishonorable to fly the Mexican flag above the American one, as long as it was in this country.

I hate it when people in this country who are here illegally march in the streets demanding citizenship, but are flying the Mexican flag. That seems pretty contradictory to me. This isn't happening as much as it did a year or two ago, but it still annoys me to see it.

I don't care what the reason is, you don't fly another flag above the U.S. flag for any reason.

Exactly. Unless you want to be a douche.

Guy was a little whacko and probably could have gone about doing that in a more civilized manor, but no flag should EVER fly above the American flag.

I agree that as long as its in this country no flag should be above the red, white, and blue....

If you want to show your flag i have no problem with it,its good to be proud of were your from but do it the right way...

P.S. those mexicans were pu**y's .... i guarentee that sh*t wouldnt have gone down like that in Homestead...

It's only a matter of hours before Mexico declares war on the US.

This will go down in history.

Mexican-American War Part Dos?

But who would mow our lawns? Wash our dishes? Pick our oranges? Do our landscaping? This is TERRIBLE!

Ever see the Amazing Racist? He does a whole skit on this about building a wall between Mexico and the US. The whole thing was stolen almost verbatim by Carlos Mencia. Check out 2:52 if you want to skip to the relavent part.

I think the one where he picks up the illegal immigrants for a "job" was funnier. (btw, that was probably a sketch, with nobody harmed)

I thought that one was evil as hell but funny. Then it happened to my brother. :|

No joke, he moved down to TX for work. He happens to drive a Ford F350. He stopped to get some gas and went in to pay for it. When he came out, there were 8 guys in the back of his truck! :lol

I guess that was the station they went to for work. Needless to say, he now buys his gas AFTER work.

Did you ever see that movie, A Day Without A Mexican?

That was the initial inspiration for my comment. Bravo for that!

Hey, I'm as rah-rah America as the next guy, but there is another side to the story. If those guys were running a Mexican-American bar and grill and just happened to be proud of their Mexican heritage and were hanging the flag out of pride as much as to advertise to the other Mexicans in the community that they had a "home land" vibe why shouldn't they be allowed to raise their flag. If they are relatively new Americans, maybe they don't know that the American flag goes on top and it was a simple misunderstanding.

Just throwing it out there before we crucify the guys who seemed much moresane than the lunatic with the knife!

because that is their heritage.

no matter whether or not the american flag should be flown on top or not.. you never tamper with another man's flag that is representing his homeland. if it was my place of business and he cut my Bahamian flag that old man woulda been dead on the street.

I agree with you 100%.

The owner happens to be an American who did it to attract more Mexican customers. It was a business decision.

Although I would never put my native country's flag over an American flag, I should have the right to do so if I so choose. This is a free country. Let me do whatever the hell I feel like if it doesn't harm anyone else.

Anyone think that it was meant to be a sign of solidarity?

And why is flying the flag in a specific manner such a big deal in this country? I love this country not because of a piece of cloth with colors and stars on it. I love it because of the principles and values that it was built on and currently thrives under.

If God forbid a dictator took over tommorow and imposed absolute rule over all of us, and that lasted for a long time, would we still be obsessing over the flag?

You know what is a bigger disgrace than whether or not you fly the flag in a specific manner? Whether you know who Alexander Hamilton is and what he did for this country. Whether you know what the bill of rights are. Whether you are involved in civil politics. Whether you VOTE. How many Americans can't meet any of this? But somehow because they fly a flag, and they are great Americans?

People treat this country like a sports team, driving towards a title via dominance. We are the best, but do people even know why we are the best?

That's good, the US flag should always be the highest on our soil, I'm glad we can agree on that.

Huh? No one's talking about flying a flag makes you great American but to show disrespect by flying another countries flag over ours is a problem. It doesn't make you a great american to this as BS but that doesn't negate the fact that it is. I don't buy into the whole maybe they didnt know the media was there not for their excellent selection of mexican pornography(it was a no one under 18 admitted store as seen in the last part).

They want to show solidarity? Then do what they probably already do support their local stores which are run and owned by Mexicans, pour their money back into their country, speak your language properly, and show support for the politics that benefit your people that's fine. But flying the flag over another is not culture shock, its a clear sign of disrespect and someone being a smartass. And if you want to debate this just look at their reactions, they just smirk and leave. If the flag really meant so much to them and it was a sign of protest that wouldnt have folded like a five year old.

Regardless of how you feel, they should be free to fly the Mexican flag over the American flag. You have a right to think that's wrong.

Uhh, false. If you must, fly the Mexican flag and no American flag, but flying the Mexican flag OVER the American flag is not kosher if you're IN AMERICA.
