sigh...the saddest thing is that you quoted me...

i said its not that they have given up TRYING to win...but it looked like they have given up THINKING they could win.

are they going to come out and try their hardest to win? yes...

did it look like they believed they could do it...if you looked at them...no

You think yourself to be smart. If you were half as smart as you thought you were, I would think twice as much about you...

It is funny how everyone has united in ANGER against a loser's mentality like Bigfishfan, or so he calls himself, has. You see, the difference between us and say, Cubs or Red Sox fans is, we dont like losing. Need proof? Look how well a losing Marlins club is supported.

We are here, in the World Series. We didnt get here by accident! We have had adversity all season. Burnett got injured. We were 10 games under .500. But still we came to play. We had to jump over 6 teams at one point to make it into Wild Card contention. We beat the Phillies. We beat the Giants. We came back and beat the Cubs. And here we are. And since we are here, why not win the whole damn thing? This is what you play all season for, this is what you train and practice and fight for.

If you think this Marlin team is going to lay down - go ask the Yankees if they would believe it. They know better and have seen enough, and so has the rest of this country. Your dream is dead, but that is because you were never dreaming. Go away, you insomniac-non-believer. We are all too intoxicated to believe in your reality right now. It is ok to sight some valid reasons why the Marlins may lose, or even why you think this team has no chance, but you failed to do that here and frankly, need to get out more.

what a total joke of an assertion. the series is now tied 2-2. now let's go steal a dream from these yankee bastards!

You have officially lost my respect. Even if you felt yesterday that we had no chance to win, you didn't have to write an essay about it on a message board. It's a 3 game series, and it's anyone's to win!!!!!

did you watch the game tonight? The Marlins gave up. I watched all of game 2 against the Cub's (11-3 if I remember correctly) and you could see in their eyes that they wheren't through yet. They tried until out #27. Tonight other than Juanpy and Conine they quit about the time the Yankees tied it.

haha.
