If a kid comes up with that as the actual reaason, I see no reason why that should be a problem and make him sound like a woman. It is before he signed any LOI and if you think these coaches acted like you were the most important guy in the world until you told them you would play for them and they seem to forget you exist it is easy to see how somebody would think, "these people are full of sh*t" and not want to play for them. This happens quite often around the country and it is similar in a way to how players will choose a team that was recruiting them the longest because they feel most comfortable with that coach.

He's the number 1 player out of Broward this year, and he's in the top 10 overall. Take off your UM blinders for a second and admit that maybe he's a stud who ISN'T A part of the "U". Why is it so hard to believe that he would want to play for another school. There's a big world out there outside of UCG. What's funny is that Hanley is criticizing the kid like heck, but if the recruit comes back to UM he'd be the first to welcome him with open arms.

Look recruits are recruits, not garaunteed to be sucessful, even though he is as much of a sure thing as you can get. Canes still have a great class this year, lets not forget there is still just over a month to go in the recruiting window so we can still pick up more talent, I'm all ready happy with what has commited so far so everything from here on out is a bonus.

If a player is flaky enough to feel like he's twisting in the wind when someone can't call, then he doesnt deserve the scholarship and education the University of Miami would provide.

 

There are restrictions in recruiting. Once you have a commitment, it's best to leave it be for fear of sanctions by the NCAA. Losing those scholarships willbe a pain to recruiting.
