Rabbethan
Good stuff, all around. The pitching was awesome, the batting was awesome, there was nothing wrong today. Another good start from Andrew Miller, a GREAT start at that. 7IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 7Ks. Danny hits a grand slam, good stuff. Cody went 1-3 with a HR and 2 walks. Maybe he is finally working out of it. Puma
Being a Marlin fan hasn't felt this good in a LONG time. The stadium is coming, Hanley is here to stay, and the Marlins just keep on winning! And I'll be honest with you, after the Marlins traded Cabrera and Willis, I thought there was no way this team would lose any less than 100 games(just like everyone else thought) but the way some of these guys are stepping up is truly amazing. Such an exciting team to watch, and I'm glad to admit they're proving me wrong. Go fish! The future is bright!
30plus
Miller looks like he's finally finding his groove and was excellent for 7 innings. Also encouraging to see Tankersly and Lindstrom toss scorless innings, being the only two guys in our bullpen who have experienced early struggles. I think the Uggla-haters have been effectively silenced. You know who you are. Hanley hitting over .415 out of the 3 hole after tonight's game. And surprise, the team is winning with him there. Perhaps the people who couldn't see this when the move was finally made can now understand why he brings balance to the lineup from there. The move has not only improved Hanley's numbers, but has improved the entire team's offense. Also nice to see Ross and Helms showing some power. If they can maintain it, it will be nice to have some right-handed power bats off the bench once our other guys return.

The Marlin Man
Just got back from the game. Gotta say that the field there is quite beautiful and it's a great baseball environment. What a fun game to watch from the first pitch bomb Cody hit. However, I am a Jackass....as I was a few drinks deep when Carrol made that awesome catch in left...I went nuts but thought it was Luis and was screaming "LUIS THE LEGEND". OH well It was a great game to watch!

It's pretty self-explanatory. Ok seriously this time: I think he was referring to people who criticize Uggla for having low on-base numbers. Rabbethan
BTW, what happened to GarbageMan? I thought we were supposed to be "missing Mr. Willis plenty more by May when there is a different starter on the mound every 5th day." Tehehe. Erick
BTW, what happened to GarbageMan? He's not a Marlins fan. So he left when the Marlins started the streak. Expect him back here the next time we lose, though.
louiecastillo1
It was all gravy today. Nice to see Uggla get his first grand slam.
all black marlins hat
I left my house this morning at 8 a.m. and just got back now. My mother kept me informed on the score though. I had to drive up to Port Charlotte with a buddy to pick up a boat, between stopping to eat sh!t, and test driving the boat, ended up taking all day. It sucks that I missed such a great game (for the Marlins that is), at least they won, and the streak continues!
ILuvCraigMinervini
Being the franchise that we are, I don't any player can ever be considered inexpendable. However, to all the people who don't see Uggla as an integral part of this team and a big part of the future, I think tonight was a pretty good example of what he brings. He was a few feet away from a three run homer (which ended up a sac fly) before he hit the grand slam. The guy is a great power hitter, though admittedly streaky. To get that kind of production from 2B, plus acceptable defense, is pretty nice. His Phil Plantier/Rob Deer type numbers last year would have been acceptable for an old school power hitter. I believe he is going to have a better year average wise. Thinking about the offensive potential of this Jacobs, Uggla, Ramirez, Cantu infield is exciting. The make shift outfield is fairly solid offensively. Adding to that the fact that Treanor is hitting better than a pitcher is icing on the cake. industrialescampeon
Good stuff. Sweep tomorrow. And we are 7-1 vs the Nats. Gotta feel a bit bad about the poor bastards.
all black marlins hat
I don't understand why everyone says Dan isn't good defensively. He has made the web gems numerous times, and was even praised by the BBTN guys. They're always showing his plays in the set of clips they show before going to commercials on BBTN. It's almost an everyday play where he dives to knock a ball down and nail the runner at first. I mean sure, he's not your average second baseman, but he can play the position. And probably better than Hanley plays SS. This is completely off the top, I have not compared any defensive stats, error numbers or anything, but just off the top of the head, I remember many more errors committed by Hanley, than by Dan. Midaz101
Hi guys, i've been a long time reader, today's game was truly amazing for the Marlins, i don't know if anyone else caught this in BBTN but when they brought out the fantasy "specialist" he said to keep Harang in your team because he will be facing the Marlins struggling offense, is it just me or are the ESPN analysts so lazy they can't even check to see if what they are saying is correct? all black marlins hat
I'm watching now, but I stepped out to grab an Aquafina bottle, and let the cat back inside the house. Did they show the Marlins game yet? I saw that one of the opening statements was about the Marlins streak, and about the HanRam deal.
