So, are you doing your job?

Uggla doesn't deserve it over Utley.

Just sayin'.

Why not? One of the problems is that Utley started hot as hell and Uggla was slumping something big. Now Uggla is killing in this month and Utley is hitting .231/.354/.436 in May. They have both been playing about the same defensivly.

The problem is that voting starts too early so one jumps to conclusions. By the end of next month their stats might be even but Utley got the jump because he did good in April.

You know its unfortunate that Hanley wont get the starting nod over Rollins or Reyes, because both of them are in larger markets. And its unfair because while I think Rollins is a great player, Hanley is the best SS in the game right now.

Who know, if we do are job, we might be able to pull it off. Rollins hasn't been getting much play in the media this season, since he was out with injury.

I actually feel pretty confident that Hanley Ramirez will start.

You figure the only people who will vote for Rollins and Reyes are fans of the Phillies and Mets, and maybe a few misinformed fans here and there BUT...

I'm pretty sure fans of all 28 other teams will vote for Hanley. This time last year, that was not the case. But, now, for the most part, people know who he is and acknowledge the fact that he is better than Rollins or Reyes.

Miggy never started during his time here and he's a better player than David Wright.

I was at the Phils game tonight and turned in some slips, voting for Hanley, and told people there to vote for Hanley. Of course I got sh*t for it but I guess I'll just take pride in that at least I'm voting it based on knowing what I'm talking about instead of being a homer. :p

I have a feeling you'll be converted to a full-time Marlins fan in due time.

Just for argument's sake, here's Hanley's numbers as compared to Reyes and Rollins so far this season:

Rollins - .276/.300/.500 3 HR 9 RBI 9 R 4 2B 0 3B 2 SB

Reyes - .264/.331/.426 2 HR 14 RBI 22 R 8 2B 5 3B 12 SB

The Beast - .325/.412/.556 9 HR 23 RBI 34 R 6 2B 1 3B 13 SB

I know its early and everything, but come on......is there any doubt who should start? Hanley completely outclasses them in almost every offensive category. I have confidence that the fans will get it right this time, especially with Hanley getting the coverage he did from the signing.

Mets fans and Phillies fans have absolutely no argument here. They can just stare with envy at Hanley's numbers and come to terms with the fact that he is the best SS in the majors right now. Even while their lips are still fresh with the taste of overrated ass, Mets fans are probably going to have to acknowledge Hanley and his utter dominance among NL shortstops.
