    Like NNY just said, if he moves from catcher he loses the value of why he was picked him 6th overall. What a nightmare.

    Hopefully Skippy gets on the fast track. If I recall, Mike Lieberthal was a 1st round pick at catcher out of High School in 1990 and made his ML debut in '94. Also, I do know that Lieberthal was converted to catcher in high school just a few years before being drafted in 1st round. If Skippy's ETA is determined to be 2012, a year after the park opens, I can live with that.

    I also love it how you guys predict that he loses value b/c he might not be a catcher. So what about if he ends up being a .300-.320 hitter / .400+ .OBP guy...he loses value if we place him elsewhere?

     

    Also...last, but not least...I also love how you guys (the few) are being so pessimistic about this, when you MOST LIKELY have never even watched the kid play an actual game.

     

    According to scouts, he's a pretty darn good hitter. I'm pretty sure they've seen him more than you. It's not as if the guy was a reach. He was a Top 10 prospect in the draft, without a doubt.

    Thanks, I knew we have lots of picks but I didnt know if they will be on t.v... So, I guess I have to wait alittle longer for our next pick.
