IMO the Pirates just got the best player in the draft and the Rays will regret passing over Pedro for years to come.

i think the royals will. if we take skipworth instead of posey i am going to be so pissed

living in the Pittsburgh market, I can tell you that the Pirate fans are ecstatic about getting Alvarez. Their old regime screwed them over by taking guys who would be easy to sign rather than guys that could help (which looking at their farm system, shows)
