Depends on slot, demand, how much leverage they have (ie-can they go to college?) and their agent.

I dunno. Some people think that Skipworth will be better than Posey down the road. It all depends on what you want, a guy that could be hard to sign, but could also help as early as next season or the kid that could develop into a great player, but could also end up changing positions.

Do the Royals take Brian Matusz here or nab another bat in Justin Smoak?

We need a catcher soon - next few years. A high school player (is he one) will take FOREVER to develop....

sounds like Matusz will be an Oriole. Bit of a pity, I wanted him.

 

sounds like after that the Giants will take Smoak, and then we'll take Skipworth BUT we do have a lot of interest in a couple pitchers (and I don't think anybody expected Posey to last till 6 so he might be the pick)

I don't believe any one of these players is worth that much.

 

Andrew Miller went around this high, and he got a million. So 12 million is a little ridiculous. It's more than what Rick Porcello got last year, and a whole bunch of teams passed on Porcello b/c of it.

LOL... Atleast we have a shot. I think the Marlins wanted to go with Skippy because they thought Buster was going to be gone early. I hope thats the case.
