I hate to burst your guys bubble, but last nights lost sucked the air outta this team and i know they officially gave up, why you ask, jst pay attension to hanley in ninth last night,he look like he didnt even wanna swing the bat or even try steal to get in to scoring position. I hate to say it but this season is finished and thats that! Sorry just dont get yourselfs worked up b/c there dead i know it and i see it! SORRY GUYS!

 

Its not necisarilly over. If we play like we did yesterday against any other team we win. But it can happen that we make it to the playoffs all we need is 1 just 1 win streak and that will come in late augst early setptember

Sorry, I didn't know there was one for sarcasm. I would have used it had I known. I was saying that Fredi should have put in Kevin Gregg instead of Kevin Greeg as a joke.

One thing that really pissed me off was that Hanley was on first and with his speed they didn't give him the green light. What the f***, we're down by one why not send Hanley. We lost anyways but w.e. Another disappointing loss.

 

Hanley always has the green light. But he is supposed to be taking it easy stealing bases this year. Plus he is nursing a bad shoulder that will require surgery in the off season. The opposite one from last year. Hanley has to be very selective on when he goes. One awkward slide and it's disaster time. Are you willing to take that chance??

Remember over the past two weeks we have been going against the class of the National League and I don't know about everyone else but I expected us to struggle down this stretch. We have gone 4-7 since the Phillies' series and we have only dropped one game back, what does that say about the strength of our division. We are not the only ones struggling, but so are the Mets and Phillies- them doing so almost exclusively against the Nats and Pirates.

I missed it too. But when you are reading so many posts where people don't know the difference between there, they're, and their (among other things), the wrong spelling of a name is supposed to be a clue??

Yes, the Mets have gone on a streak, but you have to take into consideration that after they've played the Fish at Shea, they have faced the Pirates, Nationals, and Pirates again. While the Phils have gone on the road to the West Coast and faced the Dodgers for four and Padres (they should beat them, but their offense has disappeared also) and of course we've got the Cards and Cubs. Give this race a few weeks when the schedules balance out and we could see a completely different standings. The Mets schedule stays soft for a little while with the Braves at home, but then they have a hot Astros team, on the road in Phily, down here, and at Milwaukee. The Phillies have three at home against the Nats, but then the Dodgers, Mets and 4 at Wrigley. It doesn't get much easier for the Marlins either going west(good news, though, is that we miss both Lincecum and Webb next week), but the competition's schedules will get much tougher also. By the end of August everything probably will be completely different.
