September call ups

Featured Replies

To make room for Gaby, if we don't want to DFA somebody from the 40 man, the FO might just 60 day DL Pinto and shut him down for the season. With Coghlan probably coming up, I'm going to guess Carlos Martinez is the most likely to be DFA'd with how he's been this past year (got fat, the whole no ST cuz he didn't have a card, insobordination, plus the whole not pitching all to well)

Martinez got promoted to Albuquerqe and in spite of his fatness has pitched well in short relief since moving up to AAA. I don't think it makes sense to DFA him. They've invested alot of time in him and we all know the upside is there even if he is a bit of a problem child.

Don't expect any Mud Cats until their through with the playoffs. I would like to see K-Mart back up in Sept, also De La Cruz and Delgado. Would hope to see McPherson and Jai Miller among those getting some ABs.

I would like to see Maybin, Mcpherson, Coghlan, Gaby, and Raynor as the callups. This is what I would like the lineup to look like

Raynor

Maybin

Ramirez

Mcpherson

Cantu or Gaby

Uggla or Coghlan

Gonzalez

Paul Loduca or Baker

whats raynor's primary position?

I think he's a left fielder. I put him leadoff because he's the fastest player we have in our farm.

I'm actually rather positive Raynor is CF by trade, but playing LF because of Maybin.

I could be wrong though and it's just that he's a LF that can play CF.

would love to see that. speed guys who can place the ball wherever they want. Would love to see Maybin lower the K total though

Time to call up Coughlan and McPherson to get 'em ready for next year.

Are you telling me he is faster than Maybin? I've never seen Raynor play, but I've seen Maybin absolutely fly.

John Raynor 60 yard dash: 6.3

Cameron Maybin 60 yard dash: 6.4

Raynor > Maybin

But Maybin is the better fielder and has a stronger arm.

I went to a orioles ST game this year and saw maybin hit a double to right center i thought he could have had a triple but he stoped at 2nd. He did fly though.

Wow, that's some serious speed right there. I would love to add that to this team.

indeed, this tem needs to add speed since Hanley is going to move to #3 in the lineup and reduce the # of SB's if both start next year
