Let's have some good old fashioned debates on the Marlins. Here's how it'll work.

 

There will be a panel of judges who will decide the topics and will decide who wins each round.There will be 8 debaters who will debate the topics and will be assigned either for or against an issue. You can NOT choose. You must fight the side you are assigned to. They will have 2 days to fight back with responses at each other and may not reply until the other side gets to speak.

 

After those 2 days, the judges will pick the winners and we will continue.

 

This will be a tournament. In the end there will be 1 ultimate winner. The winner will be given VIP for a month.

 

If you sign up, please be dedicated so we can make this work. If you will not definetly go thru with this all the way please don't take a spot from someone who will. If you are going on vacation in the near future, don't sign up.

 

The judges will be allowed access to a temporary private forum so we can discuss things in private.

 

First 15 people to sign up as something are in. We only need 8 debaters. Remember. Reply to this thread with what you want to be.

 

We last did this in December of 2002 and the winner was Das Texan.

Wow this sounds like a good time, and i'd be in on it as a debator, but I want to leave the spots to all the die-hard marlin fans around here. When is this debate just outta curiosity?

The first debate will be within a couple of days of finishing off the "Debate Team". Once everyone signs up the judges will begign thinking up good topics for the first round.
