Hanley Ramirez will not play in the Marlins' season finale Sunday after aggravating his sore left shoulder while diving for grounders during Saturday's game.

Hanley will wrap up the season with a .301 batting average, a .940 OPS, 33 HR, 67 RBI, 125 runs scored, and 35 stolen bases. He'll be near, or at the top of draft boards in 2009.

let him sit out. I dont want him injuring that shoulder.

I would disagree with this if this game had playoff implications for US, but since this is mearly just to play spoiler, it is better to be safe with that ever nagging shoulder

Yeah i did hear of that and I understand where Tommy's coming from, but on an arm where he already had surgery we want it to be as minor as possible, and it's not like we make the playoffs if we win this game so it doesn't really matter :confused

A couple times. And the team didn't sit him. He told Fredi before the game he was hurting too much to play. Kind of ironic that he finally gets his BA above .300 and then decides to take himself out of the game. He sure was swinging that arm pretty good in the dugout. But there won't be any of the conspiracy posts about Hanley. He's a favorite.
