I think this is the main point. EB, or Gaby, could go to AAA, but the pitching would be interesting. Anibal/Miller could go to the pen, but that bumps Cruz/Meyer/Kroenke/Delgado off the team. Of course the team could trade, or not care, about losing each of them. Could also stash Anibal or Miller in AAA and call them up on the first break down. Can always trade Cantu or McPherson as well.

I told you, if ESPN doesn't cover the sport, they don't promote it (i.e. hockey). They promote sports such as College FB + BB, NFL, MLB, NBA because they show all of their games.

 

As for the excessive coverage, it is always like this this at this point in the year, since this was the last day for college players to declare for the NFL draft. After today, coverage will lessen by the day until the draft starts to come around.

 

Baseball Tonight is on every night during the summer, and, as I already said, all they show on programs such as SC are baseball highlights when it's baseball season.

I heard that too. But there is a huge difference between a nobody like Gibbons and Barry Bonds when it comes to steroids backlash.

 

That said, as a noted Bonds hater, I'd take him on my team in a heartbeat.

 

And where would he play, Rab? Certainly not in the Outfield. With the talk of Griffey not being able to play OF on a regular basis any more, well Bonds is even more of a liability out there. If he plays again, which I doubt he will, it will be as a DH in the AL. Even though he's willing to take a minimum deal, I don't see as how the Player's Union will let him.

If I owned the Marlins, either of those two would have to pay me a million a year to sit on my bench. The Marlins are now officially a young veteran team. No messing with that.
